光線背後的隱私哲學:當擊球聲融入日常,家的邊界被重新定義

Located within a redevelopment district, the white building designed by LT Design embraces understatement. Rather than seeking attention, the architecture recedes into its surroundings, its clean lines offering the family a private realm apart from the city.
The commission began with a single request: a dedicated indoor badminton court. Yet through design, the house evolved into an environment that combines dwelling, leisure, and exercise. It fulfills the client’s desire while broadening the idea of what a home might hold.

Circulation is planned around the threshold between communal and personal life. On the ground floor, living, dining, and kitchen areas unfold in one continuous flow. To protect domestic routines, the elevator is positioned at the entrance so visitors can move directly to the third-floor court. Daily life remains undisturbed while guests enter the recreational level with ease.
The second floor is reserved for the family. A central lounge anchors three bedrooms, each with its own balcony that admits daylight and creates a personal dialogue with the outdoors. Ornament is minimal. Instead, the design emphasizes openness and comfort, allowing the home to return to essentials.

Material expression conveys the residence’s clarity. Large-format Italian tiles extend from interior to balcony, dissolving the boundary between inside and out. Bathrooms are finished in textured stone, their rugged surfaces catching light and deepening the subdued palette.
Craft is visible in corners and junctions. The meeting of wood veneer and stone demanded precision, ensuring visual clarity throughout. Storage is concealed within hidden rooms rather than exposed cabinetry, preserving generous, breathable interiors.

The façade strategy anticipates the changing context of the neighborhood. In time, larger windows would require constant screening for privacy, undermining views and natural illumination.
Instead, daylight is modulated through grilles and carefully oriented openings. Light filters in gently while seclusion is preserved, achieving a balance between openness and retreat.

The house’s most radical move lies in its structure. To place a regulation badminton court on the third floor, LT Design replaced reinforced concrete with a steel system, allowing a lighter frame and freeing the hall into an expansive, uninterrupted volume.
Every element was considered. Neutral gray walls ensure the shuttlecock remains visible. Custom crash-pads integrate safety without compromising simplicity. Alongside the court, a fitness corner extends the athletic program from warm-up to play.
-
Above, the fourth floor becomes a yoga studio. Broad windows admit daylight softened by perforated screens, preventing glare below and creating a calm environment for meditative practice. Together, these levels stage a dialogue of contrasts—speed and stillness, energy and repose—within a single house.

For the designer, a home is not defined by ornament but by how it nurtures daily life. Here, material, light, and movement align with routine, creating settings where the body stretches freely, friends gather, and quiet can settle alongside play.
What remains is a unique soundscape: the strike of rackets above and the laughter of family below. They overlap yet complement each other, forming a domestic order in which everyday life and recreation extend into one another, reshaping the meaning of home.
