矗立於吉隆坡 TRX 金融特區的 Exchange 106，是馬來西亞第二高的摩天大樓。這棟九十五層樓高的現代建築由玻璃與鋼構所組成，俯瞰整座城市；大樓的低樓層，則匯聚許多精品店家與高級空間。而在這些亮麗精美的店舖之間，身體養護品牌 CURVENA 開設的 SPA 店卻反其道而行，用人類最古老的農作材料，不同種類的稻草，層疊空間的牆面與櫃檯量體。暖色的燈光沉進纖維的紋理，將整座場域裹進一層柔軟的靜謐。

Standing tall in Kuala Lumpur's TRX financial district, Exchange 106 is Malaysia's second-tallest skyscraper. This 95-story modern marvel of glass and steel overlooks the entire city, with its lower levels hosting an array of luxury boutiques and premium spaces. Amidst these polished storefronts, CURVENA, a wellness and body care brand, takes a radically different approach. It utilizes one of humanity's oldest agricultural materials—various types of straw—to layer the walls and architectural volumes of its space. Warm lighting sinks into the fibrous textures, enveloping the entire venue in a soft tranquility.

把帶著泥土氣息的農業材料安置於頂級的都會核心，這般強烈的反差，源於設計團隊 DualSpace Studio 在著手設計時，退回原點所拋出的一個本質提問：「舒適，究竟是什麼感覺？」
早在此前的 Bukit Jalil 分店，DualSpace 便曾運用編織元素，和 CURVENA 確立了以手作與工藝思維為基礎的合作默契。此次進駐 TRX，當多數身體養護空間習慣以無瑕平滑的材料來疊加高級感時，團隊反而認為，有時候最奢侈的體驗，並非加入更昂貴的物件，而是引入更具人性的觸感。因此他們拾起最原始的稻草，將其昇華為一種空間體驗。

Placing something as raw and earthy as agricultural materials inside a premium urban core creates a striking contrast. This tension stems from a fundamental question posed by the design team, DualSpace, as they returned to the basics: "What does comfort actually feel like?"
In their previous collaboration at the Bukit Jalil branch, DualSpace had already established a mutual understanding with CURVENA, grounding their design in craftsmanship and handmade elements. For their expansion into TRX, while most wellness spaces communicate luxury through polished and flawless materials, the team took a different path. They believed that "sometimes the most luxurious experience isn't adding something more expensive. It's introducing something more human." Thus, they turned to the humble straw, elevating it into a profound spatial experience.

稻草構築的感官世界
稻草在觸動心智之前，便已先與身體展開了對話。對我們來說，稻草不僅僅是建材的選擇，更成為這個專案的情感基石：觸感豐富、帶有不完美的印記、充滿熟悉感，且深刻地貼近人性。
一束束乾草被水平堆砌，沿著動線彎折出層疊交錯的牆面與廊道，圍塑出近似巢穴或洞窟的包覆感。長久伴隨人類庇護與編織歷史的材質，具備了動態、柔軟與獨特的氣味，散發出人造材料缺乏的誠實感。乾草的纖維吸收了光線而非折射，吸收了聲音而非迴盪，讓空間自然降下一層柔和與安謐。
而在牆面與結構之外，稻草的工藝語彙還延伸到了最小的家具尺度。櫃檯底部垂掛著一圈經過梳理的稻草流蘇，像裙襬一樣微微搖晃，保留了材料天然的毛躁與野性。茶席的桌腳以稻草包覆，圓凳裹上稻草裙邊，層架上是茶具與手作陶器。圓捲草捆直接充當入口的座椅，牛皮紋蛋形椅和橄欖綠的有機造型沙發散落在空間裡。這些家具拼組在一起，帶著一種頑皮的、不按牌理出牌的生命力，讓空間不只是沉穩和安靜，也有著設計師所說的好奇與驚喜感。

A Sensory World Constructed of Straw
As DualSpace articulates, straw "speaks to the body before it speaks to the mind." "More than a material palette, it became the emotional foundation of the project: tactile, imperfect, familiar, and deeply human."
Bundles of hay are stacked horizontally, bending along the circulation paths to form overlapping walls and corridors, creating an enveloping, cave-like sensation. This material, which has quietly accompanied human life for shelter and weaving for centuries, possesses movement, softness, and a distinct scent, radiating an honesty that manufactured materials rarely possess. The straw fibers absorb light rather than refracting it, and are capable of "absorbing sound instead of reflecting it," naturally lowering a veil of softness and serenity over the space.
Beyond the walls and structural elements, the craftsmanship of straw extends down to the finest furniture details. The base of the reception counter features a fringe of combed straw, swaying gently like a skirt, preserving the material's natural wildness. Tea table legs are wrapped in straw, round stools are fitted with straw skirts, and shelves display teaware alongside handmade ceramics. Round hay bales serve directly as seating at the entrance, while leather egg chairs and olive green organic sofas are scattered throughout. This curation introduces a playful, unconventional vitality, ensuring the space isn't just grounded and quiet, but also infused with a sense of curiosity and wonder.

針對大面積的乾草牆，設計團隊刻意放棄對表面的嚴密控制，讓材料徹底保留自己的性格。每一束稻草彎曲的角度不同，長短不一，顏色也有著自然的深淺差異。這份態度，恰好呼應著 CURVENA 提倡「自我接納」的品牌哲學。「我們希望訪客在潛意識裡體驗到這個理念」設計團隊表示，「不是因為我們解釋了它，而是因為空間安靜地體現了它。」

For the expansive hay walls, the design team deliberately avoided perfectly controlled surfaces, allowing the material "to retain its own personality." No two bundles of straw are identical; they bend differently, vary in length, and feature natural shifts in color. This approach perfectly echoes CURVENA's brand philosophy of self-acceptance. "We hope visitors subconsciously experience that idea, not because we explain it, but because the space quietly embodies it," the design team notes.

從大地到海洋的情緒地景
空間敘事並沒有停留在純粹的大地氣息裡。在粗獷的稻草牆面中，一顆淡藍色的貝殼被安靜地嵌在纖維之間，宛如一個隱密的預告，暗示著內部即將發生的轉換。
沿著動線繼續深入，稻草逐漸從視線退場。當訪客步入私密的芳療室，取而代之的是一個更加親密、如夢似幻的海洋之境。貝殼馬賽克磚在環境照明下閃爍著柔和的微光，每一顆小磚都帶有乳白與淡金的光澤。充滿機趣的生物形態雕塑，白色有機造型的頂端嵌著一片扇形貝殼，甚至連地面上的黃銅排水蓋都細緻地刻印著扇貝圖騰。有機的線條在各處不期而遇，創造出那些「被發掘」而非「被設計」的瞬間。

An Emotional Landscape from Earth to Ocean
The spatial narrative does not linger solely in the realm of earthiness. Within the rough straw walls, a pale blue seashell is quietly tucked among the fibers, acting as a hidden prelude to the transition ahead.
Following the circulation path deeper into the space, the straw gradually recedes from view. "As visitors transition into the private treatment rooms, the narrative gently shifts," and the rustic warmth "gives way to a more intimate and dreamlike environment." "Seashell mosaic tiles shimmer softly under ambient lighting," with each tiny piece radiating a milky, pale-gold luster. Playful biomorphic sculptures feature fan-shaped shells embedded at their white, organic peaks, and even the brass floor drains are intricately engraved with scallop motifs. "Organic shapes emerge unexpectedly throughout the interiors, creating moments that feel less designed and more discovered."

透過觸覺記憶產生情緒連結
DualSpace 希望訪客感覺自己正穿梭於不同的「情緒地景（emotional landscapes）」之中。兩種元素在邊界處微妙地交疊，宛如大自然中的海岸線，既不完全是陸地，也不完全是海洋。「療癒，並不是在兩種情緒狀態之間直接切換開關，」設計團隊說：「它是漸進的，而且往往悄然發生。」那些稻草與貝殼相遇的幽微瞬間，正是這份溫柔轉化的具體表達。

Forging Emotional Connections Through the Memory of Touch
DualSpace wanted visitors to feel as though they were "moving through different emotional landscapes." The two elements overlap subtly at their boundaries, much like a natural shoreline that is "neither entirely land nor entirely sea." As the design team explains, "healing isn't a switch between two emotional states. It's gradual, layered, and often happens quietly." Those subtle moments where straw meets shell are the tangible expression of this gentle transformation.

CURVENA 是一個關於記憶的空間：觸覺的記憶、工藝的記憶，以及那些在我們理智明白原因之前，就能讓人感到心安的場所的記憶。

Ultimately, CURVENA is a space about "the memory of touch. The memory of craft. The memory of places that feel safe before we understand why."
This so-called body memory isn't about recalling a specific place, but rather the subconscious recognition of familiar sensations. As visitors prepare to push open a door, they encounter thoughtful tactile anchors: a crescent-shaped wooden handle, carved as if eroded by flowing water, its clear grain carrying the warmth of the maker's hand; or a natural seashell embedded directly into the wall. The moment a hand rests on these edgeless, naturally textured materials, the memory of touch is activated.

Here, CURVENA seeks to "blur the boundary between the two" realms of nature and architecture. The space allows materials to retain their imperfect marks, with every texture and detail deliberately projecting authentic human warmth. This is the "new luxury" defined by CURVENA and DualSpace: no longer chasing the accumulation of expensive substances, but stripping away excessive packaging to restore purity. The most humble straw, paradoxically, provides modern urbanites with the rarest sense of security. As the design team beautifully concludes this sensory journey: "Because warmth is not merely a feeling. It is something the body remembers."
