The Edwardian era in early 20th-century Britain carried forward the elegance of the Victorian period while introducing a quieter sense of vitality. Often regarded as a golden age of the British Empire, it marked a time of cultural and social transition that shaped the world before the war.
In domestic architecture, tradition gave way to transformation. While ornamental details and formal layouts remained, interiors became brighter, softer, and more livable. Pale tones, natural woods, and warm metals defined the palette. Finely crafted elements, such as cornices and brass fittings, reflected the era’s subtle refinement.
This atmosphere finds a quiet echo in the homeowners’ memories of Cambridge, where soft light, symmetry, and silence shaped their understanding of beauty.

在高雄25樓的住宅裡，這段英倫記憶被重新安放。曾在劍橋求學的屋主夫妻，將那段午後書香與壁爐火光的印象，轉化為屬於南國天空下的日常場景。由覺引設計操刀，空間承襲愛德華時期的比例與氣韻，並以當代材質與細節延續英式優雅，使文化藝術與生活溫度在此相遇。

推開門，靈感源自劍橋大學學院的玄關長凳率先映入眼簾，厚重的橡木色澤帶著天然紋理與懷舊色調。背牆以鼠尾草綠木板覆面，金屬掛鉤在沉穩色調中泛出溫潤光澤，一頂草帽靜靜懸掛，糅合腳下的白底配黑菱形的復古瓷磚，幾何節奏延伸至牆角，讓空間在安靜中散溢出秩序感。側邊圓角木桌擺放著白陶花器，黃銅插座與壁燈呼應彼此的質感，成為入門時的視覺標誌。

Designed by Jour en Design, the apartment draws from Edwardian sensibilities to create a space that feels both grounded and refined. Traditional proportions are reinterpreted through soft materials and quiet detailing, allowing memory and modernity to coexist with ease.
The entryway sets the tone. A long oak bench, inspired by those found in Cambridge college halls, rests against sage-green paneling. Its surface is rich with natural grain and a nostalgic warmth. Brass hooks shimmer gently above black-and-white diamond tiles, while a straw hat hangs in stillness. The geometric pattern extends to the wall’s edge, grounding the space in calm precision.
To the side, a rounded wooden table holds a white ceramic vase. Brass outlets and wall sconces echo one another in tone and texture, forming a soft visual rhythm. Together, these elements shape a tactile welcome and introduce a home guided by restraint, memory, and material clarity.

雕飾與書香，對稱裡的靜謐秩序

有別於以往公區規劃，客廳核心是一座訂製壁爐，雕花細膩精緻而不浮誇，霧灰飾面在日光下泛出粉質般的柔和。兩側書櫃如鏡像般對稱，書籍與擺飾錯落陳列，如同劍橋住宅裡靜置的時光。落地窗前的亞麻窗幔隨風微擺，午後日光掠過沙發扶手與圓桌木面，與壁爐曲面彼此呼應，起伏紋理被凸顯得更為鮮明，為公領域挹注一種溫柔沉靜的安定感。

A custom fireplace anchors the living area. Its carved detailing is crisp and controlled, while the matte grey finish softens into a chalk-like surface under daylight. Flanking it, twin bookshelves offer a quiet balance, filled with books and objects that recall the stillness of Cambridge interiors.
At the windows, linen curtains stir gently in the breeze. Light filters through, tracing the arm of the sofa and gliding across the round table’s wooden surface. The curves echo the fireplace, and subtle textures rise into view, giving the shared space a grounded sense of calm.

廚房的中島與餐桌緊密銜接，檯面鋪陳淺色礦物紋理石材，質地潤澤而沉穩，邊角以柔弧收邊，使多人同時走動時依然從容自如。櫃體覆上鼠尾草綠，在黃光映照下泛出輕柔內斂的亮澤。烤箱與爐具的旋鈕選用帶紅潤的復古金屬，搭配霧面玻璃爐門，讓現代機能與復古韻味在此交融。淺木色背框結合米色布面的餐椅，細密織紋與空間的暖色階互相映襯，構成溫和而和諧的用餐氛圍。

The kitchen island extends into the dining table, its pale mineral surface catching the ambient light with a soft sheen. Rounded corners ease movement through the shared space, offering both comfort and flow. Sage green cabinetry anchors the composition, warmed by subtle brass accents and frosted glass finishes. Light wood chairs with woven beige upholstery complete the setting, bringing texture and quiet cohesion to the room.

臥室內，實木床架以立柱經車旋工藝呈現圓潤層次，整體細節讓造型更具韻律感，木材的天然紋理在柔光中顯得醇厚。主臥與更衣室之間，以線條和諧的拱門銜接，弧形和緩地引導視線與步伐。開放式規劃讓衣櫃清晰呈現，木質櫃體與臥室色調彼此映襯，形成連貫的視覺延伸。一側設有金屬邊框的活動穿衣鏡，可隨需求移動位置，方便試衣與整理儀容。

更衣室內的梳妝台承接線板語彙與木質檯面，左右對稱的壁燈在檯面投射出雅緻光暈，既照亮細節，又保有柔和氛圍。簡潔的收納配置讓日常使用俐落順手；從臥室望向拱門，材質、色彩與光線自然流動，使私領域優雅而寧靜。

The bedroom centres around a solid wood bed with turned posts and soft, tiered contours. In the afternoon light, its grain appears full and warm, echoing the quiet rhythm found throughout the room. A rounded arch leads into the walk-in wardrobe, where open cabinetry and panelled wood surfaces continue the palette. Gentle lighting casts a soft glow across the vanity, while clean-lined storage supports an easy daily routine. Framed by the arch, the composition of materials, tones, and light creates a calm and continuous atmosphere in this private space.

從燈具開關的黃銅圓盤，到床架立柱的圓潤層次，再到廚房水槽立體弧邊的陰影，每一處五金與家具的比例與色澤，都經過精細推敲與反覆斟酌，刻意保留時間刻畫的溫度與質感。
