以意識展開的時空軸線,家的輪廓即是星際宇宙:睿利設計啟航無垠疆界的探索之旅

Physicist John Archibald Wheeler once said, “The universe gives birth to consciousness, and consciousness gives meaning to the universe.”
If we reduce the world to its most fundamental scale, everything we perceive begins with a minute vibration. Before taking form, energy exists only as a near imperceptible oscillation. It is only when observed that it selects a single state from countless possibilities. The making of a home follows a similar logic. When imagination and state of mind align, a universe belonging to the present moment quietly opens at the edge of everyday life.

Breaking dimensional boundaries. A spatial consciousness shaped for exploration
This residence carries the personal universe of its owners. Due to professional demands, the family required a home that could graciously host guests while also offering a retreat for inward reflection. The original layout, however, fragmented the living and dining areas into confined zones, as if invisible walls had interrupted both movement and sightlines. For Rz Interior Design, reshaping the home meant first dismantling these dimensional constraints and redefining spatial boundaries through a shift in perception.
The design team relocated the television wall toward the corridor, reordering the relationships within the shared areas. Through the use of permeable structural elements, the living and dining spaces remain visually connected even while being functionally defined. As a result, the home maintains a sense of openness and composure, whether in everyday use or during gatherings.
All doors leading to private areas are concealed and flush with the walls. When closed, the interior reads as a continuous surface defined by a restrained palette. This decentralised reconfiguration transforms the home into a base that can both launch outward and retreat inward, leaving ample room for sensory exploration.

Where the tangible and the imagined converge. Everyday life within a science fiction frame
Within a structural language dominated by metal, stainless steel and mirrored surfaces, the designers deliberately introduced softer layers that reconnect the space to daily life. Dark metal, stainless steel and reflective finishes establish a clear architectural framework, while timber tones and grey mineral coatings modulate tactility, allowing cool precision and warmth to coexist.
The fireplace in the living area reflects across metallic surfaces like the engine of a spacecraft, suggesting forward momentum toward an expansive future while adding a gentle counterpoint to the rational geometry of the space. A custom curved sofa, designed in response to the room’s proportions and circulation, softens the sharper structural lines. Its flowing form supports both gathering and movement, enabling transitions to feel intuitive and unforced.

Ceiling beams are finished in black and paired with understated circular light bands. Together they resemble gravitational loops within a galaxy, implying that each zone operates as an evolving field of awareness.

Turning function into ritual. Reframing the boundaries of awareness
To unify the overall language, the designers transformed functional details into symbolic spatial markers. At the junction between the living and dining areas, a circular glass screen with an integrated linear light serves as both a guiding illumination at night and a subtle threshold between shared zones.
This approach extends throughout the home. Storage room handles are deliberately oversized, recalling spacecraft hatch mechanisms and turning the act of opening and closing into a small ritual of transition. At the heart of the public area, the island countertop is finished in large format ultra thin porcelain slabs from the Lamborghini series, a restrained nod to the owner’s appreciation for speed and refined materiality. On the wall, a cuckoo clock brought back from Germany introduces a sense of lived warmth, gently tempering the otherwise cool surfaces.

As circulation moves inward, the atmosphere shifts. In the primary bedroom, a curved ceiling light echoes earlier motifs and, through mirrored reflections, expands the perceived spatial volume. The walk in wardrobe employs black framed glass cabinetry and a mirrored ceiling, allowing linear lighting to multiply through layered reflections. Boundaries blur and distances become ambiguous. Stepping inside feels like a temporary departure from the tempo of public life into a private stretch of time.

A free universe shaped through living
This home embodies the philosophy of John Archibald Wheeler. Through a bold and reflective spatial language, Rz Interior Design constructs a domestic universe that assigns meaning through awareness itself. The result is not simply an expressive interior, but a living system shaped by daily traces and ongoing evolution. Entering the space feels like stepping onto a newly discovered planet, one that continues to form through the warmth and presence of everyday life.
