城市裡最難求的，從來不是一杯酒，而是一處能讓人把疲憊與偽裝放在門外的地方。很多時候，我們造訪一家店，為的是片刻的放空與自在，不需要表現得精明幹練或應酬周旋，甚至連點一杯酒，都不必裝作很懂風味結構。
美村藥舖，位於台中美村路上的二樓，一處專為現代人打造的情緒避難所。它以傳統藥鋪為靈感，將氣味與藥材為媒介，調出一帖帖貼近當下心境的處方，陪伴每位到訪者度過只做自己的時光。

The hardest thing to find in the city is never a glass of wine, but a place where you can leave your exhaustion and disguises at the door. Often, we visit a bar for a moment of blankness and ease. There is no need to act sharp and capable, nor to engage in social pleasantries. You don't even have to pretend to understand flavor profiles just to order a drink.
Located on the second floor of Meicun Road in Taichung, Meicun Apothecary Bar is an emotional refuge designed specifically for modern city dwellers. Inspired by traditional Chinese pharmacies, it uses aromas and medicinal herbs as its mediums to concoct "prescriptions" tailored to your current state of mind, accompanying every guest through a time where they can simply be themselves.

美村藥舖的誕生，始於先前尊鴻餐飲團隊與赤崁中藥行展開的快閃合作，累積許多正面迴響，也讓他們看見漢方文化在當代生活中的更多可能，更成為美村藥舖誕生的重要契機。團隊希望在不偏離漢方核心的前提下，重新詮釋人們與漢方相遇的方式。從空間、光影到飲酒儀式，每一處細節都將傳統漢方融入現代生活，打造出一處帶有台灣在地情感的微醺場域。

The inception of Meicun Apothecary Bar began with a pop-up collaboration between the Zunhong Catering team and Chikan Chinese Medicine. The overwhelming positive feedback not only revealed the boundless possibilities of traditional Han herbal culture in contemporary life but also served as the crucial catalyst for the birth of Meicun Apothecary Bar. Without straying from the core of traditional Han medicine, the team sought to reinterpret how people encounter it today. From the spatial design and lighting to the drinking rituals, every detail seamlessly weaves traditional Han apothecary elements into modern lifestyle, creating a tipsy sanctuary infused with local Taiwanese sentiment.

拾級而上的心靈沉澱，交織老記憶與情感共鳴的場景
一踏上階梯，便能感受光線被刻意調暗，宛如一條將外界喧囂阻隔在外的情緒過道。順著光影拾級而上，滿牆復古的實木斗櫃與青花藥罐隨即映入眼簾。推開隱藏於藥櫃的暗門，眼前才豁然開朗，空間中央以一座 L 型調酒吧檯為主角，營造出具包覆感的氛圍，讓人一坐下來就能徹底放鬆。

A Scene Woven with Old Memories and Emotional Resonance
Stepping onto the stairs, you immediately notice the deliberately dimmed lighting, acting as an emotional corridor that filters out the noise of the outside world. Following the interplay of light and shadow up the steps, you are greeted by an entire wall of vintage solid wood apothecary cabinets and blue-and-white porcelain medicine jars. Pushing open the hidden door concealed within the medicine cabinet, the space suddenly opens up. At its heart lies an L-shaped bar, creating an enveloping atmosphere that allows guests to completely relax the moment they sit down.

整體空間以大面積溫潤原木色與深咖色調鋪陳，並融合台式傳統水磨石地板、舊窗花、毛玻璃等在地元素，喚醒屬於台灣人的集體記憶，描繪出兒時阿公阿嬤家般的溫暖質感。在深色木質立面上，刻有打坐的人像以及品牌核心字樣「人間逃逸」，傳遞品牌核心精神；而這股沉穩的復古氛圍延伸至洗手間，使用帶有粗獷孔洞質感的石材洗手盆與復古木框鏡面，讓每位到訪者隨處都能感受到懷舊氣息。

The overall space is anchored by expansive warm wood and deep brown tones, blending traditional Taiwanese terrazzo floors, old window grilles, and frosted glass. These local elements awaken a collective Taiwanese memory, painting a warm, nostalgic picture reminiscent of a grandparent's home. On the dark wooden facade, a carved figure in meditation is accompanied by the brand's core motto, "Escape the Mortal Realm" (人間逃逸), conveying its central ethos. This calm, vintage ambiance extends into the restroom, where rough, porous stone sinks and retro wood-framed mirrors ensure guests feel the nostalgic charm at every turn.

於空間角落尋覓動心的剎那，重拾內心平靜
整體照明捨棄單一主燈，改以點光源在暗處交錯漫射。輕柔的光影下，隱約勾勒出傳統榫卯木作的細膩紋理與金屬拉手的溫潤光澤，也堆疊出豐富的視覺質感；其中，綠色玻璃復古吊燈成了壓低場所嘈雜情緒的點綴，微微暈染出雅緻而平靜的療癒感。
視線轉向吧檯一角，懸掛著一幅寫有「鹿了」的書法畫作，寓意著「初次相見時，那份令人怦然心動的瞬間」。不論是獨坐在吧檯前，與三五好友聚於包廂，還是佇立於空間中心環顧，賓客都能在光影與陳設的流動間，捕捉到截然不同的景致，找到內心被溫柔撫平的時光。

Regaining Inner Peace in the Corners of the Space
The lighting design abandons a single main source, opting instead for scattered point lights that softly crisscross and diffuse through the dimness. Under this gentle interplay of light and shadow, the delicate grain of traditional mortise-and-tenon woodwork and the warm luster of metal handles are subtly outlined, layering a rich visual texture. Among these details, vintage green glass pendant lights serve as perfect accents to quiet any lingering noise in the atmosphere, casting a faint glow that exudes an elegant, calming sense of healing.
Turning your gaze to a corner of the bar, you will find a suspended calligraphy piece featuring the characters "鹿了" (Lu Liao), a phrase symbolizing "that heart-fluttering moment of a first encounter." Whether sitting alone at the bar, gathering with friends in a private booth, or simply standing in the center of the room taking it all in, guests can capture entirely different vistas amid the flow of light, shadow, and decor, discovering a quiet pocket of time where their hearts are gently soothed.

從一口「孟婆湯」到祝福能量，一場人間逃逸的夜間儀式
走進美村藥舖，像是體驗一場拋下情緒負擔的過程。
入座前，引路人會先奉上迎賓酒「孟婆湯」，提醒到訪者把門外的身分與日常煩惱暫時留在門外，也同時呼應品牌理念萬般皆苦，人間逃逸，只需專心享受眼前的餐點與氛圍，感受暫時放空。入席後，外場夥伴會在交流間自然遞上「二十四節氣籤詩」，以節氣為名，寫下恰好呼應心境的字句；若幸運抽中特吉籤，還能獲得店家熱情招待的驚喜。
而將夜晚氣氛推向頂峰的關鍵，莫過於店內最具代表性的「人間葫蘆」，由團隊耗時八小時手工貼滿金銀箔，一旦被搖響，即表示邀請全場共飲。無論是為了喜事舉杯讓快樂加倍，抑或是將悶氣拋在門內，所有的情緒都能在清脆的迴響中，獲得最痛快的釋放。
此外，在離舖之前，賓客可以抽取一張九宮格貼紙，上方可能寫著「勇氣」、「心安」、「善良」等字語，將這些溫柔的文字收藏，如同帶上一份能給予力量的護身符，重拾飽滿能量再次回到人間。

From a Sip of "Meng Po Soup" to the Energy of Blessings: A Nighttime Ritual of Escaping the Mortal World
Stepping into Meicun Apothecary Bar is like experiencing the process of shedding emotional burdens.
Before being seated, your guide serves a welcome drink, "Meng Po Soup," reminding visitors to temporarily leave their worldly identities and daily troubles outside the door. This echoes the brand's philosophy: All is suffering; escape the mortal realm. Guests are encouraged to simply focus on the food and atmosphere before them and enjoy a momentary mental void. Once seated, the front-of-house staff naturally hands out "24 Solar Terms Fortune Slips" during casual conversation. Named after the solar terms, these slips feature words that perfectly resonate with one's current state of mind. If you are lucky enough to draw a "Super Auspicious" (特吉) slip, you'll receive a warm surprise treat from the house.
The key to pushing the night's atmosphere to its peak is undoubtedly the venue's iconic "Mortal Gourd" (人間葫蘆), painstakingly covered in gold and silver leaf by the team over eight hours. Once shaken, it signifies an invitation for the entire room to drink together. Whether raising a glass to double the joy of a happy occasion or throwing frustrations to the wind, all emotions find their most satisfying release in its crisp, echoing sound.
Furthermore, before leaving the apothecary, guests can draw a 3x3 grid sticker featuring gentle words like "Courage," "Peace of Mind," or "Kindness." Collecting these comforting words is like carrying a talisman that grants strength, allowing guests to return to the real world recharged with full energy.

一帖連結地緣與記憶的風土餐酒，翻轉傳統印象的漢方餐酒新詮釋
除了空間與儀式，美村藥舖的餐酒研發同樣緊扣「漢方」與「在地風土」。
調酒部分由赤崁團隊操刀，創作出一系列顛覆想像的作品：包含揉合台中靈魂東泉辣椒醬、酸菜與花椒紅酒的「行火散」；以鳳梨酥為發想的「旺來賦」；以及結合仙草、決明子與梅子醋的草本特調「本草行」。為了呈現獨特的「湯酒對話」，團隊更以傳統四物湯為靈感，結合琴酒、百香果與可可調製「四物帖」，專門與店內溫潤的四神湯相互呼應。
餐點則由尊鴻餐飲團隊量身打造，例如搭配自製甘草椒鹽粉與研磨杵缽的「鎮店解憂滷味盤」、還原辦桌記憶的「人情菜尾湯」、散發陳皮香氣的酥炸薯條，以及帶有花椒麻韻的靈魂主食「烈方麻辣拌麵」。餐與酒巧妙交織，讓味覺與視覺在此獲得完美滿足。

A Terroir-Driven Menu Connecting Geography and Memory: A New Interpretation of Han Herbal Dining
Beyond the space and rituals, the food and beverage R&D at Meicun Apothecary Bar is closely intertwined with "Han herbal medicine" and "local terroir."
The cocktail menu, crafted by the Chikan team, features a series of creations that subvert the imagination. These include the Xing Huo San (行火散), which blends Taichung's soulful Dongquan chili sauce, pickled mustard greens, and Sichuan peppercorn red wine; the Wang Lai Fu (旺來賦), inspired by pineapple cakes; and the Ben Cao Xing (本草行), a botanical concoction combining mesona (grass jelly), cassia seeds, and plum vinegar. To present a unique "dialogue between soup and liquor," the team drew inspiration from traditional Four-Herb Soup (Siwu Tang) to create the Siwu Tie (四物帖)—a mix of gin, passion fruit, and cocoa designed specifically to complement the apothecary's soothing Four-Herb Pork Tripe Soup (Sishen Tang).
The food menu was custom-tailored by the Zunhong Catering team. Highlights include the "Signature Dispel-Sorrow Braised Platter" (鎮店解憂滷味盤), served with a mortar and pestle for grinding homemade licorice pepper salt; the "Humanity Leftover Soup" (人情菜尾湯), which recreates the nostalgia of traditional Taiwanese banquets (Bando); deep-fried french fries radiating the aroma of aged tangerine peel; and the soul-satisfying "Lie Fang Spicy Tossed Noodles" (烈方麻辣拌麵) with its numbing Sichuan peppercorn kick. The ingenious intertwining of food and drink ensures that both taste and sight are perfectly satisfied here.

Meicun Apothecary Bar doesn't strive to cure anyone. Instead, it hopes to provide a space where people can unload their stress and soothe their minds, allowing guests to honestly face themselves and temporarily shed their outside roles and daily disguises. After briefly casting aside the heavy burden of worldly suffering and replenishing their spirits here, every visitor can face each new day with a renewed sense of calm, carrying exclusive blessings and newfound strength.
